Election day was upon us here in the gloom and 8 PAX showed up ready to cast their ballot for a sweatfest on this very muggy morning. YHC had a special vote cast for what the PAX would soon find out would be the theme of today’s beatdown…THE MERKIN…Keeping in line with the August Challenge YHC made sure that there would be plenty of Miles & Merkins to endure. Flag was planted, the disclaimer was given and the men of F3Lutz were ready to go…
THE WARMUP:
Mosey to Sunlake side round-a-bout and circle up

By the 5th round everyone could sense the theme and before the last exercise was called out everyone started guessing Merkins. YHC corrected everyone by stating Big Boy Situps, and sighs of relief started poured in. They were short lived though as YHC said just kidding, the next exercise is THE MERKIN! (Guess you can say someone was tampering with the election)

During the last set of Merkins we thought we had an appearance by Superman…is it a bird? a plane?…no it’s just @grouper’s chapstick flying through the air and making a surprise landing. You can only imagine the mumble chatter that ensued, however we were informed that it is STRICTLY and ONLY used for the lips!
THE MIDTERMS:
Indian Run back to BB Courts catch me if you can style (last PAX doing 5 merkins) – everyone got in 2 full rounds before returning
- Partner up for Alternating Sets
- One partner runs entire lap around dog park and tennis courts while other partner completes the following:
- BIG BOY SITUPS – x10 – OYO
- SQUATS – x10 – OYO
- MERKINS – x10 – OYO
- Rinse and repeat until partner returns then swap
This was a timed event for 15 minutes and everyone got in at least 3 to 4 full sets completed. Music was provided…
