12 PAX posted (2 performing the Sasquatch Challenge) for a scorching hot sweatfest with temps in the low 90’s.  Welcome back Flamingo visiting from NC!  Some mumble chatter early on, the disclaimer was given and we were off…

TOOTHPICK CHALLENGE

Prior to the warm-up YHC had men pull toothpicks out of the box of pain…DO NOT PICK THE RED ONE was the warning given…we got all the way around the circle and with 2 toothpicks remaining we decided to hold plank.  First 2 PAX to drop had to pull the last of the toothpicks and at just over 3 min into this challenge @dba and @miley had sealed their fate…

BURPEE MILE (and then some)

Head through the FOP and onto the lake for 1 full lap of Indian Run Burpees…every time the PAX with the red toothpick finishes his sprint to the front we all halt for 5 burpees.  Halting at the halfway point to cross the bridge we performed the following:

  • BEAR CRAWL  –  1/3 WAY
  • WALKING LUNGES  –  1/3 WAY
  • DUCK WALK  –  FINAL 1/3

Back to the Indian Run Burpees to the beginning and through the FOP until all PAX got one final sprint and set of burpees completed.  From there we headed back to the courts.  8 rounds of burpees were completed during this trip.

AB-SOLUTION

YHC will call out an ab exercise and all will perform IC.  If at any time any PAX cannot complete the exercise before YHC completes the cadence everyone will halt and perform a 10 Burpee penalty.

  • ROUND 1  –  LEG RAISES  –  Approx 28 IC before a PAX gave in  –  PENALTY
  • ROUND 2  –  BOX CUTTERS  –  Approx 24 IC before a PAX gave in  –  PENALTY
  • MOSEY 1/4 MILE LAP
  • ROUND 3  –  DOLLY  –  Approx 25 IC before a PAX gave in  –  PENALTY
  • ROUND 4  –  ROSALITA  –  Approx 21 IC before a PAX gave in  –  PENALTY
  • MOSEY 1/4 MILE LAP
  • ROUND 5  –  FLUTTERKICKS  –  Approx 29 IC before a PAX gave in  –  PENALTY
  • ROUND 6  –  PLANK HOLD  –  IC  –  All PAX held out for 10  –  NO PENALTY
  • MOSEY 1/4 MILE LAP

Little did the PAX know that all of the exercises were designed to fail as the cadence was infinite for each (exception being plank holds due to time constraints).

MOLESKIN

As always an honor to lead such great men.  Great job to @No-See-Um and @Grouper for completing the Sasquatch Challenge in an incredibly fast time frame.  Everyone pushed themselves even through a 1 and 1/2 mile indian run to stay together and not break form.  Great job to all PAX who put everything they had into not failing during the AB portion of the beatdown.  The groans and grunts as well as fighting off fatigue lasted much longer than YHC had planned for or expected.
