Another hot and humid morning had 7 PAX show up at The District to get a good sweaty BD in. Promptly at 5:30 a few were said and we got right into it.
A quick warm up of 10 in cadence (maybe one of 11, YHC’s concentration tends to drift to the main event during this part) of the following exercises:
- Tempo Squat
- Weed Pickers
After that, we had a bear parade (bear crawl) around the grove of palm trees to bring us to the thang.
PAX were split into two groups, affectionately named 1 and 2. The groups took turns running to “islands” in the parking lot and doing an exercise (each group did all distances and islands). There were 10 total islands, which by the end, that 10th one did seem pretty far away. The exercises were:
- Peter Parkers
- Dying Cockroach
- Hand Release Merkins
- Left Side Oblique Crunch
- Right Side Oblique Crunch
- Salute Planks
- Revere Lunges
The PAX crushed it giving us about 5 minutes left, so after a quick sip we got a good shoulder burner in.
While holding a continuous squat, the following exercises were in cadence:
- Wing Flap
- Seal Clap
- Overhead Clap
- Baby Arm Circles
- Reverse Baby Arm Circles
With the last 30+ seconds, we took a nice break and enjoyed a good wall sit.
