YHC decided to take advantage of a bit of a summer “cold front” with temps dropping below 85 in the gloom this morning. Six other PAX joined in to get a good beat down in preparations of back to school activity, either at the home with 2.0s or to mentally prepare for the influx of traffic. Promptly at 5:30 a.m. we jumped right into a Mosey warmup all the way over to Yellow Brick park in the Bone Yard.
Warmup (brief):
Frankensteins x 10 IC
Tappity Taps x 10 IC
SSH x 10 IC
Next, we ran over to the far circle with adirondak chairs to perform 20 dips and 20 Merkins as a group. We then did a mosey over to the middle planter circle for the following:
*10 Step-ups (hard way), 10 Urkins, 10 Derkins
*9 Step-ups (hard way), 9 Urkins, 10 Derkins
…repeat by dropping one rep each time until you get through 1. Laps around the circle waiting for the six.
MARY: Gather together for Q led core excercises; LBC x 20 IC, Heel Touches x 20 IC, Freddy Mercury x 20 IC.
The next phase would include a lot of mosey. There were cones placed in 2 of the 4 quardrants of the lap around Yellow Brick park. Pax start at the first cone and mosey to the next where they complete 1 x Burpee. After the burpee each Pax returns back to the prior cone to perform 10 x Mountain Climbers (easy). At that point Pax may proceed up 2 cones to rinse and repeat this process all the way around the lap. There were a total of 12 cones with some long runs in between a couple of them that really added on the steps.
After the full lap completed, pick up six. Group back together for a fellowship pace indian run back towards the flag.
At the flag with 5 minutes to spare we completed another round of core burn including WW1 situps and X Factors.
COT: Prayers for all families and children starting a new school year, may be stay focused and be successful.
