The end of the year is always a time of gratitude and a time to personally reflect on a number of things. As we continue to grow as a group, both individually and collectively it’s important to give new PAX an opportunity to lead. We all discussed opening up the SLT roles (Share Leadership Team for F3 Nature Coast) as 2024 winds down, and allowing the PAX to throw their name in the hat if they are interested in various roles. Here is a brief description of the SLT roles:

Nant’an – Leader of the Region – After serving this role over the last 3 years, I announced I will be passing the torch to @Belding. It’s been an honor to lead the group and was undoubtedly a challenge to follow @No-See-Um, who started our Region 12/31/2016 (8 year anniversary approaching!!). We know @Belding will continue to lead and grow the region in the best way possible, and I know I speak for many when I say we are looking forward to him stepping into this role!! @Belding will play a crucial role in helping to identify the SLT roles outlined below.

1st F (Fitness) Q – This PAX leads organizing events related to fitness, and solicits ideas for CSAUP Events.

2nd F (Fellowship) Q – This PAX leads organizing fellowship events, ideally monthly or quarterly at a minimum. This could include but is not limited to connected pre and post beatdown, scheduled lunches, happy hours, holiday parties, family events, etc. Think of this as a blank canvas and be creative to make it your own.

3rd F (Faith) Q – This pax leads the organization of events that contribute to the community on a regular basis. Examples might include local trash pickup initiatives, donating time at local churches, volunteering at Feeding Tampa Bay and feeding the homeless, Habitat for Humanity, etc. Once again, keep an open mind here and remember the goal is to give back!

Comz Q – This PAX helps to own the coordination of all communications initiatives related to F3 Nature Coast- Social Media, Slack, email, newsletters, website, etc.

Weasel Shaker – This PAX helps to uphold accountability and integrity of the group. Whether it’s ensuring proper form during a beatdown, pushing the PAX or being honest when needed to make each other better…this PAX helps keep us all honest and holds us accountable.

Here is a quick resource from the F3 Nation website explaining Shared Leadership in more detail: https://f3nation.com/shared-leadership

I want to extend a big THANK YOU to all the PAX that have contributed in various ways over the last few years, and those that will continue to contribute as we move forward! This group has impacted us all in unique ways, but one thing holds true for all. It’s a way for us all to connect, share our experiences, and provides a network of men to support each other when we need it for whatever reason.

When I moved here in May of 2017, it was tough to settle in after moving across the country twice in a little over 2 years. In November that same year, I found this group and it’s truly changed my life in so many ways that are tough to articulate here. I have a group of friends, family and brothers that have that have had a positive impact on me personally on a daily basis. We challenge each other, make each other better, provide support, keep each other healthy (physically and mentally), and provide a release that’s needed for so many reasons. I know many have been positively impacted in similar ways. Quite frankly, it’s tough to put into works the complete gratitude I have for the group.

Look forward to the future and to seeing what the group looks like another year from now as we continue to grow!!
