running backwards in the dark

Beautiful morning for a good ole beatdown in the gloom. Running backwards in the dark was the theme! 8 HIM showed up ready for work. Flag was planted and men went straight to work.

Still Warming up:

Ascending Groiners 1-10 after the merkin part of the burpee.

Everybody seemed warmed up by now, so we moseyed over to the dead end of gloomy beatdownness. YHC was there early to set up cones and lights.

The Thang:

First up was the quarter pounder- Sprint to the 25 yards and Do 25 merkins, Run backwards to start And Sprint to the 50yd and do 50 squats, Backwards to start, sprint to the 75yd and do 75 Mountain Climbers, Run backwards to start and sprint to the 100yd and do 100 SSH. We rinsed and repeated for a double quarter pounder (started at 100 on the 2nd round).

Mosey back to the BBall courts where we performed a squat and burpee ladder – descending from 10 to 1. 10 squat, 10 burpee, 9 squat, 9 burpee…you get the point.

YHC noted we had 4 minutes remaining, YHC was not about to let it go to waste. So we lined up and went for a scout run – Same basic idea as an Indian run. Pax form a line and set a decent pace. The front man takes off forward in a 20 m sprint then turns around and sprints back to rejoin the pax at the back of the line.




Haka’s SIL is doing well, much support in this PAX. Much appreciated.
