Coming off of Spring Break for all pax with school aged 2.0’s so lots of men still in vaca mode.  Especially YHC who was reminded he had the Q mid-day on Monday.  However, this guy needed a good ole fashioned smoke fest to shake off all the cob webs (and fried foods/beer that was consumed) from the prior week’s activities.


7 Pax took the Daily Red Pill this am and were ready to sharpen some iron with their brothers.  A mini disclaimer was given to the effect of something like “modify anything that you can’t handle this am……cause it’s about to get real”!


And just like that we were off……….


Mosey to the roundabout for the Warm-Up: (All IC unless noted)

SSH x 10

Squats x 10

Merkins x 10

3 brisk laps around roundabout

Mtn Climbers x 10

Zebra Kicks x 10 (OYO)

Imperial Walkers x 10

Next was a set of Broad jump Burpees for one lap around.  And now that all the pax’s hearts were racing we moseyed to Sunlake for:


Tuck Jump Burpees x 10

Plank when done and right into Salute Planks x 25

*Quick 10 count and then Rinse & Repeat*


Catch Me If You Can/Indian Run with 5 Monkey Humpers all the way back to courts!


Next at the courts the pax did a series of the following with the Ruck Sack Burpee man being the catalyst as once he finished his last burpee the pax would “ROTATE” their positions!  YHC was hoping the “Ruck Sack Burpee” station would scare some of the pax, however No-Ski immediately threw the ruck on and was eager to continue the smoke show that had already been underway. YHC gave the pax the ‘somewhat good news’ that the ruck was only there as an obstacle for the pax to jump over while doing a series of burpees 😊

  1. Ruck Sack Burpees x4 (Starts It Off) then Bear Crawl around court
  2. Plank
  3. Lunges
  4. Flutters
  5. Goblet Squats (with 30 lbs ruck plate)
  6. LBC
  7. SSH

*The pax did 2 rounds of the above, then 2 rounds of 6 Ruck Sack Burpees while jogging around courts and then the 5th round was 10 Ruck Sack Burpees!  Haka was really pushing the group here and showed he still has that beast-mode in him


Next, we moseyed out of courts and did figure 8 around second roundabout and back to courts for the last gas finish!

-YHC had to hi-tail it out this am to be to airport by 7:30 for flight so somewhat rushed the COT which I apologize for.  Prayers for a safe work trip to Atlanta and back for YHC.


-Prayers for Haka and his health, although the dude gave it all in the gloom this morning.


-Prayers for the terrible tragedies around the world (Cyclone hitting Mozambique, Parkland, FL suicide victims from Stoneman Douglas, New Zealand mass shooting, Shooting in Netherlands)


-Continued prayers for Apnea and M as they have appt. later this week.


-Continued prayers for Vanellope’s friend.



*Men put in hard work today and it showed as there was little mumble chatter and lots of huffing/puffing.

*No-Ski however proved today was a walk in the park and wanted to do some bonus ruck sack burpees!

*DBA getting stronger and stronger, but may have been feeling the effects of a BDAY weekend celebration….Happy #43!

*Haka with the motivation to all pax during the Ruck Sack Burpee portion of this morning’s fun……that guy is looking like he is feeling better!

*Grouper, Vanellope & Apnea quietly going about their business as always……..thinking the next beatdown or two needs some relay/challenges involved to get some trash talking started!!!


*T-Rex arms may be in full effect on Wednesday after the fun-filled ending of today’s beatdown 😊
