Beautiful Sunday Morning and a tall task to accomplish what we wanted to. 4 PAX met at b-ball courts at 6:30am and after about 10 minutes of mumble chatter and stretching, our journey ensued. It was the last day of merkins and LBC week before burpee week next week, so we decided about mid week we were going to push for something BIG to close our the week strong.
10 checkpoints throughout LLR was the goal and at EACH checkpoint, every PAX completed the following:
5 sets of 20x merkins and 30x BLCs
Totals per checkpoint = 100 merkins and 150 LBCs
Slowzy in between checkpoints to provide some much needed relief for the chest and abs.
1st checkpoint = B-ball courts
2nd checkpoint = 1st round about
3rd checpoint = MI Homes Model
4th checkpoint = @Apnea’s home / driveway
5th checkpoint = @Haka’s home / driveway
6th checkpoint = lake trail just over the bridge
7th checkpoint = gate directly across from @No-See-Um’s house
***It was about 7:20am at this point, and as we approached the gate we saw none other that @No-See-Um’s M getting ready to leave for her workout at some other establishment not to be named. We had to pull a Sneaky Pete and run directly past the gate to complete our 7th set. By the time we finished, she was nowhere to be found.
8th checkpoint = @No-See-Um’s home
9th checkpoint = back on the lake trail just before the b-ball courts
10th checkpoint = back at the b-ball courts
Finished up about 7:55am, so about 1 hour and 15 min of pure chest and abdominal pain.
Overall, 1000 total merkins and 1500 LBCs per PAX finishing off week 1 with a bang!
Looking forward to what week two has to bring. Nice to see some great competition and all PAX having fun with our April challenge. I am sure we haven’t seen the last of ole Sneaky Pete.
