Thirteen PAX joined YHC on a beautiful Tuesday morning to get a BD in. While we are all members of this organization, in part, to push ourselves physically, sometimes a little team competition can help push just a little bit more. But first, the warm up!

Warmup:

  • Mosey around the dog park/tennis courts
  • All in cadence:
    • Temp Squats
    • Windmills
    • Frakensteins
    • Tappity-tap-tap

The Thang:

The PAX counted off in two’s to compete in three relay races. All three races involved the use of a 40 lbs sandbag.  After each race, there would be a set of exercises for the winners and another for the losers.

Winning team: 30 Merkins, 20 Squats, 10 Burpees

Losing team: 30 Burpees, 20 Squats, 10 Merkins

Relay 1:

The first relay lasted 10 rounds. The first PAX would mosey with the bag across the field and then mosey back. The second PAX would then mosey to the bag to bring in back. This repeated five more times. While not on the bag, the PAX alternated between SSHs, LBCs, Bonnie Blairs, BBSs, and calf raises.

Round 1: Team 1 won!

Relay 2:

The second relay lasted four lengths of the FOP. For this race, each PAX had to mosey to the bag, pick up, and chuck that thing as far as he could before coming back. The bag had to reach the concrete before switching directions. While not on the bag, the PAX alternated between SSHs, LBCs, Bonnie Blairs, BBSs, and calf raises.

Round 2: Team 1 won, as there bag was fully on the concrete while team 2’s bag had about three inches in the grass. That said, YHC let the team 2 PAX pick if they were winners or losers in their mind for this round.

Relay 3:

Just a complete clusterfuck, especially for team 1. The idea was like an indian run where you passed the bag to the PAX standing next to you, and then ran to the front of the line to pass it again. Team 2 understood and executed nicely. Team 1 just ran around haphazardly and occasionally bounced the 40 lbs sandbag off people’s head. Thank goodness for legally binding disclaimers.

Round 2: Team 2

Bonus time:

With a few minutes left, we circled up and passed the bags around. Bonus to Dillio for suggesting doing it in squats.

Moleskin:

2nd F Bar Crawl: 4/23

2nd F happy hour: 4/29

COT:

Prayers for Dillio’s mom going into surgery. Prayer’s for Belding’s 2.0s. Prayers for all PAX present and not.
