8 PAX gathered on a chilly morning at the District ready to test their strength and push each other through a Big Papi Q. But where was Big Papi? The PAX looked, but did not see him. They looked for a Little Papi (in case he shrank) but did not find one either…so Belding stepped up to kick off our “PAX Dividing the Q” beatdown, a/k/a “Q on the fly”. We made it up as we went along, but most of us each had a chance to lead.
The Belding Warmup:
- 10 SSH IC
- Mosey to Lake Blanche Drive
The Tebow Warmup:
- 20 tempo squats IC
The Bada-Bing Bada-Thang:
- 25 merkins
- 20 burpees
- Mosey to hill behind tennis courts
The Screech Thang:
Partner exercise: PAX paired up and took turns doing big boy situps and running backwards up the hill and back down until 100 cumulative big boys were completed by the pair.
The Hitchhiker Thang:
Set of Elevens. Exercise #1 (at the bottom of the hill) was jump squats. The mode of travel (up the hill before exercise #2) was the crab walk. Exercise #2 (at the top of the hill) was merkins. The mode of travel (back down the hill before starting the next eleven rep combo) was the bear crawl.
The Airstream Thang:
Mosey to park and then partner up for set of Dora 1-2-3. Paired PAX took turns; one did exercises while the other moseyed for 1 lap around the park, then switched. Rinse & repeat until the following number of cumulative reps were reached by the pair:
- 50 burpees
- 100 derricks (HW)
- 150 big boy situps
The Madoff Thang:
- Mosey back to parking lot by the flag.
- Cocaine bear crawl to first island (stopping at each white line to do a merkin with nose down to line).
- 20 calf raises off curb at first island.
- Lunge walk to second island, then turn around
- Cocaine bear crawl back to first island
- 20 calf raises off curb at first island
- Lunge walk back to starting point
